2026.04.1

Date: April 12, 2026

This is the first release note since Hemma started versioning publicly. It covers everything shipped up to this point - the baseline of what Hemma does today.

What's new

  • Talk to Hemma - ask a question about your project by text or voice. Hemma searches your documents, budget, and calendar, then answers with proof cards showing exactly where the information came from.

  • Quote comparison - when you have multiple quotes for the same trade, Hemma compares them side-by-side. AI aligns line items across contractors so you can see what each one includes, what's missing, and how the totals compare.

  • Invoice payments - mark invoices as paid, see the IBAN and structured reference, and generate an EPC QR code for instant mobile banking transfers. Payment status flows through to your budget automatically.

  • Push notifications - Hemma can now reach you when a document needs review or an action is waiting. Enable notifications once and get updates on any device.

  • Email intelligence - forward an email to your project inbox and Hemma reads the attachments, classifies the documents, extracts key data, and files everything. Invoices become budget line items. Quotes become comparison candidates.

  • Search - find anything across your documents, contractors, budget lines, and calendar events from the More screen. Search understands what you mean, not just what you type.

  • Capture - tap the capture button to quickly save a note, a to-do, or a calendar event. Hemma classifies what you wrote and puts it in the right place.

  • Project Room - see your entire renovation as phases and milestones. Each phase shows its budget, contractors, decisions, and documents in one view.

  • Floodlight - Hemma's public changelog. Every deploy gets a version number, every meaningful release gets a note. You're reading the first one.

What's better

  • Onboarding guide - a step-by-step walkthrough that appears when you first sign in. It shows you how to forward your first email, upload a document, and set up your project.

  • Demo experience - new users see contextual bubbles across every screen explaining what Hemma does with realistic Belgian renovation data.

  • Help section - articles covering getting started, email forwarding, AI document processing, and budget import are now available from the app.

  • Site Log - five practical articles about Belgian construction: comparing contractor quotes, tracking your renovation budget, checking your contractor's credentials, managing renovation paperwork, and understanding your renovation obligations.

What's fixed

Several stability improvements landed across document processing, budget calculations, and the mobile navigation. The quote comparison now handles missing or incomplete data gracefully instead of showing blank sections. Calendar events created from captures save correctly. The onboarding guide no longer conflicts with the terms-acceptance dialog.
