A build is rarely a one-person job. Your partner wants to see what's happening with the budget. Your architect wants the same view of the documents. Hemma lets you bring them in with a single email each. They click, they accept, and they have the full project in front of them.
Two things to have ready:
Open Settings → Team. The page shows everyone already on the project, with you near the top. Above that list there's a single email field and a Send invite button.
Type the email address, tap Send invite, and Hemma takes it from there. A green confirmation appears, the field clears, and the new invite shows up in the Pending invites section below the members list. You'll see the email, when you sent it, and when it expires.
The invitee gets an email within a few seconds. The subject line is "your name invited you to a project on Hemma" so they know who it's from before they even open it.
The email is short and clear. A button labelled Accept invitation, the project name, and a note that the link expires in seven days.
When they click, Hemma walks them through accepting. If they don't have an account yet, they sign in first (magic link or Google — they pick). If their profile is missing a name, a small modal asks for first and last name so you see who they are in the team list, not just an email address. Then they tap Accept, and they're in.
Walk them through it together if they're not used to web apps. The whole thing takes less than a minute.
Hemma has a flat membership model: once someone accepts, they have the same access as everyone else. They see every document, every invoice, every quote, every plan. They can upload documents themselves. They can mark up plans. They can leave notes. The build is shared, the workspace is shared.
The one thing they can't do: change the team. Inviting and removing people stays with you, the owner. They can leave the project at any time, but they can't add anyone else.
If you need finer control than "shares everything" — for example, an architect who should only see one plan, not your whole budget — share that single plan instead of inviting them to the project. See sharing a plan with your architect for that flow.
Sent the invite to the wrong address? Want to take it back before it's accepted? In Pending invites, every row has a small × button. Tap it, and the invite is cancelled — the link in the email stops working immediately.
To re-send, just enter the email again and tap Send invite. Hemma cancels any earlier invite for the same address automatically, so you never end up with two competing links.
If someone needs to come off the project, find them in the members list and tap the remove icon next to their row. They lose access immediately. Their notes and uploads stay — only the access goes away.
You can't remove yourself this way (you're the owner). To leave a project you own, transfer ownership first or delete the project entirely. Both options live on the danger-zone page.
