Your Hemma project is private by default — only you can see it. You can invite anyone you trust: your partner, your architect, a family member who is helping manage the build. Every member gets full access to the project.
Once they accept, they appear in your member list and can see everything in the project: all documents, the full budget, milestones, contractors, messages.
All members have the same level of access. There are no viewer-only or editor-only roles — if you invite someone, they see and can do everything.
The one distinction is the project owner. The owner is the person who created the project. Only the owner can:
Everyone else can update documents, manage the budget, add notes, create calendar events, and change project settings.
Go to Settings → Team, find the member in the list, and click Remove. They lose access immediately. You can re-invite them later.
If a member leaves the project themselves (from their own Settings), they are removed and lose access. The project continues unchanged for everyone else.
If you are the last member, leaving the project will delete it. Hemma warns you before you confirm.
If someone has been invited but has not yet accepted, they appear under Pending invites in Team settings. You can cancel the invite from there. If the 7-day window expires, the invite is automatically cancelled and you need to send a new one.
Can I invite someone without a Hemma account? Yes. They will create an account when they accept the invite — they just need the link and an email address.
The invite expired. Can I resend it? Cancel the expired invite and send a new one. Hemma does not extend existing tokens.
Can I change who the owner is? Ownership transfer is not available yet. The project creator stays the owner.
Does a member need to connect their own integrations? Yes. Integrations (Google Calendar, Dropbox, etc.) are per-member. Each member connects their own accounts in their own Settings.
